Week 9 - Term 2

Good morning!

 Welcome to Week 9!

 What a wonderful day it was yesterday, the students were absolutely amazing and they all looked fantastic! They were a real credit to their families and their school yesterday with their reverent behaviour and participation...lots of proud tears leaking out of my eyes!

 A HUGE thank you to the prayer buddies and their families for attending, we were very grateful for your support.

 A huge thank you also, to the Year 3 parents for all their hard work in catering our morning tea. We will be sending an email to express our thanks to them today on behalf of ourselves and the Year 4 students and families.

REMINDERS - WEEK 9 

Cross Country - This is scheduled for this Thursday 27th June beginning at 9am. The Year 1's will run first and then class by class. The carnival is expected to conclude by 11am...students are to wear their faction t-shirts and are to come ready to support their faction! All parents are welcome to attend...I would like to recommend a pair of wellies as the oval is quite wet and damp!

This will be weather/lightning dependent so please keep an eye out for any communications from the OLC Admin to advise of any changes.

Fr Ian Farewell Mass - Is on this Friday afternoon beginning at 1.30pm in the hall. All are warmly invited to attend.

Password Security - Just a reminder about security - we have had a student who has had their password scammed via a phishing email. The students are logged in to all relevant sites already and should not be prompted to enter their log in details at any point - ClickView is the only exception. 

Please ask your child to check with you if they receive any emails asking them to enter their log in details.


HOMEWORK - WEEK 9

Please see below for the homework assigned for this week. 

1. Reading - Students are to read for 10 minutes each night.
2. Timetables - 11`'s -  Students are to practice at least 4 times throughout the week at home. 

3. Mental Maths- Complete Unit 18, p 36 & 37. All sections are to be completed.

4. Spelling - the students are to complete LSCWC with their spelling words and put their words into sentences on One Note. These are due in on Friday.

Good afternoon! The last week has arrived...I can't believe it either! Term 2 has been such a busy and productive time, the students have worked like troopers producing some amazing pieces of work! We are very proud of the learning habits they have developed and the maturity they are showing as we grow closer to Year 5. In saying this, it is time for a well-deserved break! REMINDERS - WEEK 10 Father Ian and Mr Wilkie Farewell Mass   - Tomorrow Father Tony Chiera will be celebrating Mass with us in the hall to wish Mr Wilkie and Fr Ian a happy farewell and retirement. The mass will begin at 1.30 pm and afterwards there will be an afternoon tea for the parents and parishioners to share together. Week 9...The Last One!

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the final week, if you are like me, I can remember October and then suddenly the term is at its end!  It has been a busy one here, I was lucky enough to head to the Player's night on Thursday down at Shark Park and then was also able to head to the Volunteers Breakfast on Sunday...had the best chat with Bob Murphy, he is one funny cat!  What a great opportunity for our town to have the players in, they were so appreciative of the opportunity to come and connect with their fans and were a pleasure to be around! I would like to say the biggest and most sincere thank you to you as a parent group, you have been so supportive of myself and your children and we have had a thoroughly brilliant year as a group!  To see how much the children have grown and changed is such a privilege and I am going to miss them all very very much. Week 3 Update

Good afternoon parents, I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend celebrating all things Mum related. We hope that you loved reading their little messages which hopefully showed you just how much you are truly loved by them.💕 REMINDERS - WEEK 3 Walk to School Day - this is being held this Friday 17th May and all families are encouraged to attend if possible. Please see the newsletter this week for the pick up points and times. Commitment and Year 4 Family Mass - this Saturday night 18th May at 6pm the Year 4 families are invited to come together to celebrate mass together. During this mass we will acknowledge the commitment made by you to support your child in their preparation to receive the Sacrament of First Eucharist. All students are expected to attend, there will be pizza afterwards! Book Fair -  On Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd of May, there is a book fair in the library. The library will be selling books from 8-9am and 3.30-4.30pm on these days. W
