Week 7 Update

Image
Good afternoon parents, Welcome to another fabulous week in 4DEL..I hope you are enjoying this change in weather, I for one am very grateful for the cooler change! A few reminders for the coming week... Eagle Heritage Excursion - we are all super pumped for our excursion this coming Thursday. I am hopeful that the weather stays cool and dry, we are asking the students to wear their sports uniform on Thursda y as it provides an additional layer of warmth!  If it looks like it will be raining, can you please include a rain jacket and a small umbrella in your child's bag. The pathways between the cages are uncovered so the children will need some additional protection in the event of rain. Catch Up Eucharist Workshop - this will held on Thursday afternoon for those families that were unable to attend last Tuesday's workshop. We will begin at 3.30pm down in the bunker. Focus Character Strength - This week we will be looking at the character strength of Creativity!  Ask your chil

Over the Hump - Week 6 Update

Good afternoon parents, What a weekend...the cold and wet weather I have been craving and I am beyond excited to be sitting on my couch watching Collingwood lose whilst the rain belts down! Devo the Eagles lost but the other purple guys had a win so that means WA wins! I had a great weekend with Tobes playing in a Derby against the Whites on Friday night, happy about that as I avoided being out in the rain yesterday. Another win...sorry Mr Torrese but how good are the sporting opportunities for our kids...super lucky!  Not feeling as lucky about it on Sunday though as I spent some of the day at Busselton Hospital getting Ella's ankle checked after a nasty whack on Friday night...I didn't want to be that parent that made her walk on it for a week OR the parent who just wasted time...the dilemma! Thankfully it wasn't broken just bone bruising so she should be right for the Bunbury Carnival on the long weekend which is the one of the highlights of her year! Focus Value - Thi

Welcome to Week 5!

Hello! Welcome to another amazing week...it is hard to believe we are almost over the hump of this term as it feels like we are just getting started. We have a very busy back end with lots of exciting things planned.  We have an excursion relating to our art and writing unit coming up as well as events around Eucharist and we have also been invited to participate in a tree planting session out in the Ludlow Tuart Forest...how lucky are we!  Further details around all of these amazing experiences will be shared as they approach so keep your eyes peeled! A few important things... As part of our MJR program we were lucky enough to have the creator Peter Mitchell (Mitch) come in and spend some time with the kids talking about how this program is relevant to our lives...it encourages us all to add a little bit of goodness into someone's day wherever and however we can.  One of the main points around this is the GTS...how we Greet, Treat and Speak to others. In 4DEL, we have been working

Good afternoon parents, As I settle in to watch the Derby I am desperately hoping the Eagles will triumph over the Dockers.  If they don't, there are many students that won't let me live it down!! Thankfully I bit back the urge to make a bet on the outcome...!! It has been an amazing weekend weather wise and whilst Ella's team copped a schlacking on Friday night at hockey. Tobes' team brought it home with a 98 point win in footy yesterday! The Ducks won last night in a well contested game down at the Duck Pond! I need to come back to work for a rest! A Couple of Points for the Coming Week... Headphones - Can you please check in with your child to see that they have a set of working headphones. These are an often used item throughout our classes and all students need a set.  The Clift Family - Many of you may have already seen the Go Fund Me that has been set up to help support the Clift family after the sudden passing of Dave Clift.  I have included the link here if
