Week 4 Update!

Good afternoon,

Welcome to another great week in 4DEL! A short update this week!

Last week was a busy one but the kids were such troopers rolling with all the different events that we had on. I am looking forward to a more settled week this week so that we can continue with our great work!

I would like to thank all our amazing grandparents (and parents) that came in for our first Grandparents Day in a couple of years...it was SO lovely to have the school filled with visitors and I loved watching the students proudly showing their grandparents around our room.

It seems that the Roll-A- Grandpa/Grandma was quite a hit and I hope that those pictures made it home and go straight to the pool room!

I took photos of as many families as I could, these are on our Teams for you to look at.

I would very much like to commend the students of 4DEL for their kindness and care towards their PPB buddies on Wednesday as we walked down to Church.

The students did you proud by being very attending and were excellent role models whilst we were in Church and on the way there and back! So very proud!!

I would also like to commend them on their bravery during our Swimming Trials on Tuesday, it is quite a big deal to be placed in that environment for many and it was so lovely to see them giving it their very best, swimming hard and encouraging their classmates!!

The week ahead...

PAT Assessments - We will be completing these this week with our PAT Vocabulary on Monday and Maths on Thursday. Please make sure that your child is bringing their laptops to school each day with enough charge to see out the day.

Whilst I love seeing you, please don't bring up their laptop if they leave it at home. We will work it out...this is a great opportunity for learning some of those challenging life lessons.

Swimming Carnival  - Is on this Friday, 4th November at Geographe Leisure Centre in Busselton. Students are to come dressed in their faction shirts with their normal sports bottoms, ready to depart at 8.40am.

Parents are welcome to attend, please let me know via the permission slip emailed and handed out last week if your child will be picked up from the pool.

This assists us with knowing how many buses to book for the return journey.

Your child will need:
  • Bathers – worn to school underneath their uniform.
  • Sports shoes and socks worn to school – thongs can be worn at the pool only
  • A packed recess, lunch and plenty of water as it is looking like it will be a lovely day! Please make sure that you pop in a bit extra as the kids get hungry!
  • Hat
  • Towel and goggles (if desired)
  • Sunscreen applied and ready to go
  • Rashie – for sun protection and practical reasons, all students swimming are to wear a rashie in and out of the pool.
Wishing you all fantastic week, I hope the weather clears soon and we can begin the business if Spring! I am currently in my Ugg Boots with the fire going....sooo...!

Take care,

Mrs Delane
