Week 1 Has Begun!

Good afternoon parents,

 Thank you for having your children so well organised for the year! It was great to meet so many of you today.

 I hope that you enjoyed the day and maybe had a chance to check a few jobs off the list...we had a great start to the term in Year 3 and I am confident this will continue! I am sure that they will sleep well tonight...there was a lot to get through!!

 Homework - 

 I sent home a copy of the reading log and the 'Letter to Mrs Delane' sheet with your child today. Some students did not have scrapbooks with them today so they are not glued in currently. 

 I will make sure that it is all glued in with your child tomorrow. If you have their homework book at home, please feel free to assist them with gluing these in.

 Reading - the students are asked to read a book of their choice for 10 minutes (or longer if they are loving it) and then write it in their reading log and bring it to you to sign.

 It is expected that they will complete their reading log Monday - Thursday evenings.

 Letter to Mrs Delane - this is a fun activity that your child can do to help me get to know them a little better. This is due on Monday 5th February.

 Swimming Lessons - a reminder that these start on Wednesday 7th February (Week 2).

 Class Dojo - I will be using Class Dojo in class to reward and correct behaviour. Your child will be bringing home a copy of the parent code that you can use to connect to see how your child is going. You can have multiple children on the Class Dojo system as each parent code is unique to your child.

Week 9...The Last One!

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the final week, if you are like me, I can remember October and then suddenly the term is at its end!  It has been a busy one here, I was lucky enough to head to the Player's night on Thursday down at Shark Park and then was also able to head to the Volunteers Breakfast on Sunday...had the best chat with Bob Murphy, he is one funny cat!  What a great opportunity for our town to have the players in, they were so appreciative of the opportunity to come and connect with their fans and were a pleasure to be around! I would like to say the biggest and most sincere thank you to you as a parent group, you have been so supportive of myself and your children and we have had a thoroughly brilliant year as a group!  To see how much the children have grown and changed is such a privilege and I am going to miss them all very very much. Week 6 Has Arrived!

Good morning parents! I hope you are all staying nice and warm in this very strange weather...I have no idea what is going on with it! One minute it's warm and sunny and the next I'm reaching for the trackies and ugg boots!  I hope you all enjoyed the day off yesterday?! We had a great PL day yesterday looking in more detail at the Judging Standards created by the School Curriculum Authority. These are the documents that we use in conjunction with our professional judgement, your child's See Saw journal and work completed in class to determine grading for our reports.  We then finished the day throwing some rocks at the Dunsborough Country Club...under Neil's watchful gaze, I proved to be not a very good lawn bowler and a person who has no concept of medium pace...who knew??  We also farewelled Miss Cain on Thursday, the students were very sad to see her go and she was so sad to leave them...she had a warm and positive impact on the students in her time in 4DEL and we w

Week 10 - The Home Stretch!

Good afternoon! The last week has arrived...I can't believe it either! Term 2 has been such a busy and productive time, the students have worked like troopers producing some amazing pieces of work! We are very proud of the learning habits they have developed and the maturity they are showing as we grow closer to Year 5. In saying this, it is time for a well-deserved break! REMINDERS - WEEK 10 Father Ian and Mr Wilkie Farewell Mass   - Tomorrow Father Tony Chiera will be celebrating Mass with us in the hall to wish Mr Wilkie and Fr Ian a happy farewell and retirement. The mass will begin at 1.30 pm and afterwards there will be an afternoon tea for the parents and parishioners to share together. It has been asked if families in Years Four to Six provide a plate for this afternoon tea and take it to the hall in the morning. We thank you for your support with this.
