Week 4 Is Here!

Hello!

Welcome to Week 4...we are on the countdown to a very special event this weekend and I am super excited!

Just a few reminders for the coming week...

Eucharist - Is on this Sunday 8th November at 10am...please make sure that you are there by 9.45am. We ask that you don't arrive any earlier as the parishioners from the previous mass will be leaving and this is part of our social distancing requirements.

We are aware that a number of families are impacted by the limit on numbers...we do appreciate that many have family members that have travelled a long way to be a part of this special day and it is hard to have some miss out. It has been a  difficult year in this regard and we are truly sorry. We are having conversation at the moment with Amie Meyer and Fr Francis. to see if we are able to have some people bring an extra guest if others are having smaller parties. 

We will get clarification out on this issue as soon as possible!

We feel that the ceremony should be completed by 11.30am for those of you looking to make reservations for celebrations afterwards...please bear in mind this is a best estimate only.

Certificates & Celebration Cakes - We will be having a small family only morning tea at 10am on Friday 13th November if you are able to join us.

Rehearsals and Run Throughs - This week the Year 4 students will be having a number of rehearsals of how the service will run on Sunday morning so that the students feel comfortable and confident. 

On Wednesday we will also participate in a Reconciliation liturgy prior to the students having the opportunity to share Reconciliation on Thursday with Fr Francis at 10am.

We will be walking down to the church on Thursday afternoon to have a rehearsal. We will also be heading down on Friday morning to participate in the Adoration of the Eucharist which will provide the students with a reflective time spent at Church.

Our learning program will continue as normal with a few alterations. Please make sure that you child is bringing their laptop to school fully charged and in the correct uniform please. Hats are really important!

Uthando Dolls - Please note that for this week only, we will be having our session on Thursday morning beginning at 8.45am until 9.45am. If you are able to join us at this time we would as always, love to have you!

A huge congratulations to Isabelle and Theo on their merit awards this week...they have both been working so hard and I am super proud of both of them!


HOMEWORK - WEEK 4

  • Spelling - LCWC each night and 3 words into sentences. Please make sure you are marking their words each night.
  • Tables practice
  • Champion Life - a challenge to be completed twice a week.
  • Reading - out loud 10-15 minutes each night.

Good afternoon! The last week has arrived...I can't believe it either! Term 2 has been such a busy and productive time, the students have worked like troopers producing some amazing pieces of work! We are very proud of the learning habits they have developed and the maturity they are showing as we grow closer to Year 5. In saying this, it is time for a well-deserved break! REMINDERS - WEEK 10 Father Ian and Mr Wilkie Farewell Mass   - Tomorrow Father Tony Chiera will be celebrating Mass with us in the hall to wish Mr Wilkie and Fr Ian a happy farewell and retirement. The mass will begin at 1.30 pm and afterwards there will be an afternoon tea for the parents and parishioners to share together. Week 9...The Last One!

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the final week, if you are like me, I can remember October and then suddenly the term is at its end!  It has been a busy one here, I was lucky enough to head to the Player's night on Thursday down at Shark Park and then was also able to head to the Volunteers Breakfast on Sunday...had the best chat with Bob Murphy, he is one funny cat!  What a great opportunity for our town to have the players in, they were so appreciative of the opportunity to come and connect with their fans and were a pleasure to be around! I would like to say the biggest and most sincere thank you to you as a parent group, you have been so supportive of myself and your children and we have had a thoroughly brilliant year as a group!  To see how much the children have grown and changed is such a privilege and I am going to miss them all very very much. Week 3 Update

Good afternoon parents, I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend celebrating all things Mum related. We hope that you loved reading their little messages which hopefully showed you just how much you are truly loved by them.💕 REMINDERS - WEEK 3 Walk to School Day - this is being held this Friday 17th May and all families are encouraged to attend if possible. Please see the newsletter this week for the pick up points and times. Commitment and Year 4 Family Mass - this Saturday night 18th May at 6pm the Year 4 families are invited to come together to celebrate mass together. During this mass we will acknowledge the commitment made by you to support your child in their preparation to receive the Sacrament of First Eucharist. All students are expected to attend, there will be pizza afterwards! Book Fair -  On Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd of May, there is a book fair in the library. The library will be selling books from 8-9am and 3.30-4.30pm on these days. W
