Good morning parents, We can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Those very exciting holidays are fast approaching and we sure are ready for them. It has been a very busy last weeks and we are so grateful for all your support!   It has been a busy term! Over the past week, whilst preparing for tonight's open classroom, we have realised that the student's have worked incredibly hard to learn many new concepts and produce high quality pieces of work. We are so very proud of them and can understand their need for a break!  REMINDERS - WEEK 10 Open Classroom  -  Tonight is your chance to come and check out the work your child has been doing throughout the year. It starts in the hall at 5pm, where Mr Lee will welcome us and some students will carryout a short musical performance. Classrooms will then be open from 5.15-6pm for you share in celebrating your child's achievements. Please remember that this is a special time to spend with your child to discuss what

Good morning parents, I hope that you enjoyed the beautiful weekend weather? It is starting to feel like Spring for sure!! It was a shame to see the Eagles go out on Friday night but Geelong clearly came to play. The only good thing is that I will now enjoy the finals series a lot more than if the Eagles were still in it! REMINDERS - WEEK 9 STEM Materials - the students are loving their fortnightly STEM Challenges. This week we have asked them to make a shelter that will keep a figurine dry from the weather. They will be provided with tape and paper towels (used to check if any moisture made it inside). Any other materials will need to be scavenged from home...please send them to the shed and not Kmart, Bunnings or Spotlight. St Mary MacKillop College Visit - Just a reminder that all permission slips need to be returned even if your child will not be attending MacKillop as they will all be taken for the day on the 18th October. Good morning Parents, It seems that I am not the only one who had a busy weekend...a lot of the children have come into class today looking very weary!  Whilst the weather was beautiful I feel as though I saw the whole town working my way through the footy wind up (how good do the club rooms look?!) then onto a rugby game and windup finishing up with a hockey wind up! I spent a lot of time clapping for people I didn't know! In saying that I feel very blessed with the opportunities my kids have to play sport!!! REMINDERS - WEEK 8  HASS Diorama Assignment - As mentioned in a separate post last week, we will begin painting and working on our dioramas in class tomorrow. Can you please make sure that you do not let your inner creative loose and start prepping the box at home! The students will have plenty of time and support to work on their projects in class, no matter how large the box is. I will not have any boxes for the students tomorrow as I have not been lucky enough

Good morning parents, Just a quick note to let you know that yesterday your child should have brought home their HASS book so that they can continue working on their diorama planning sheet. This planning sheet is to be completed for our lesson next Tuesday 10th September. We will be working on creating a diorama in class that shows their animal of choice and the habitat that it lives in. Students are to bring their own shoe box in for next Tuesday . They will be able to paint and begin decorating their diorama in class. They are also to bring in any of the animals or items that they would like to put in their diorama - I have told them to raid their toy box for small animal figurines, trees, other animals etc.  The creation of these will be done in class - please do not work on them at home. If your child doesn't have any of these they are welcome to make their items out of blu tack, playdough or plasticine. These will be coming home once they have been assessed.

Good morning everyone, I hope that you all enjoyed the weekend...it was a bit wet and woolly but provided a perfect excuse to spend the day on the couch! I hope all our dads had a fabulous Father's Day...thank you for all that you do to support our beautiful children! REMINDERS - WEEK 7  Get out the Dettol - There are all sorts of coughs and colds going around at the moment and it is hitting hard and taking a lot of out of the kids. Please look after yourself and stay well...I don't wish it on anyone! I do understand it can be difficult to stay home when your child is sick (as a working parent I totally get it!) but, please keep them at home to prevent the spread of germs as well as giving them recovery time on the couch so when they come back they are able to cope physically.  General Behaviour - It is coming to that time of the term where we are starting to see some of our cherubs flex a little muscle in the classroom. We are having regular discussions about r
