Welcome to Week 3!

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to a wet and windy day beginning our week...my toenails did not get the memo that it would be wet and rainy! Thank you for all the lovely gifts and flowers that came in on Friday to celebrate World Teacher's Day...I felt very spoilt and was reminded once again just how much I love these beautiful children!!!   This morning we had all of our beautiful grandparents to come in and visit. It is so lovely to see the interaction between the children and their grandparents...a really lovely morning kicked off with a beautiful prayer liturgy in which grandparents were celebrated for their wisdom, love and care. We then welcomed our grandparents into class and the students had a lovely chance to complete some activities, show off their amazing work and take a cheeky selfie or two! Week 2 Update

Welcome to Week 2, We have had a fantastic start to the term...the weather has been glorious and the students have come back focused and ready to work hard for our last term together. For those of you that enjoyed Family Camp over the weekend, I am sure like me, you are grateful for good drying days to get all the washing done! Another fantastic weekend for our school community...the dam was a little chilly I must say but sitting on the bank watching everyone was delightful! The Year 4's enjoyed a great visit to SMMC on Friday. The students were welcomed with a muffin and juice box before heading off into the underbelly of high school.  We had the opportunity to try our hand at wood work with Mr Ferguson, the Year 9 students helped us to create a little pencil holder and it was great to watch them interacting with the machinery and having a ball! From there we went off to cooking, here the students put together a delicious fruit smoothie with the help of t

Welcome Back! Term 1 Week 4

Hello everyone, Welcome back to another busy term in 4D...I absolutely can't believe it is our last term together...I am devastated! I have loved watching our little loves develop and mature as the year has progressed and I am so very proud of all of their hard work. I will be sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the year for sure!  I hope that you enjoyed your holidays and had some down time as well as some adventures...mine were great with loads of poochie snuggles, walks, whale watching, rugby carnivals, books read, movies watched and a fair bit of 'Marie Kondo'ing. Next week we welcome Miss Ashley Carter, a second year prac student from ECU who will be joining us for 4 weeks. She will be gradually increasing her teaching load through small group work and whole class teaching as the weeks progress under my supervision and this is a great opportunity for her to work with students and develop her teaching skills. Please come in and say hi!  REMINDERS - WEEK
