Welcome to Week 4!

Image
Good afternoon parents, I hope that you enjoyed the extra long weekend! I have spent it seeing lots of mates down from Perth and drinking lots of coffee, taking big walks and fully adulting! Even though the circumstances were difficult, it was so nice to see so many of your faces last week during the pick up for our Bushfire Drill. I would like to thank you all for supporting this very worthy initiative...it was great to see you and I hope that I can meet more of you in the coming weeks! A few reminders for the coming week...even though it's a short one! REMINDERS - WEEK 4 Swimming Carnival - Is on this Thursday 4th March (weather dependent of course). Please make sure that your child comes to school wearing their faction t-shirt, bathers underneath or easily accessible, they bring a towel, goggles, rashie, thongs for to and from the pool and plenty of food! Week 3 Update

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to another fantastic week in 4DEL! There is a lot happening in the next couple of weeks to continue our full on start to the year. REMINDERS - WEEK 3 Headphones - these were an item on our book list and are necessary. If your child did not receive them or bring them in can you please organise a set to come in as soon as possible. As our use of our laptops increases these are necessary. Stationery - we are only 3 weeks in and each day there are multiple students looking for a ruler, glue stick or scissors. At the end of each day we always do a pick up and return any labelled items to their owners. As you can appreciate it puts pressure on other students to lend itmes as they are trying to do the right thing. Can you please check in with your child to see if they are missing any items and send in replacements as soon as possible. Class Reps - Year 4 is currently one of the only classes without any reps...is there anyone willing to take on this position

Week 2 Update

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the week! After a false start the week before last we have hit the ground running, learning our new routines and procedures and establishing positive relationships with each other and learning a little more about each other. I am sure that your little ones would have come home last week quite exhausted as there was a lot that we covered in our first week together.  This week will be great as we will streamline and reinforce those procedures and start to sink our teeth a little further into our learning! I would like to thank you all for your hard work in labelling, purchasing and sorting all the items needed to get us back to school. Your children were a real credit to you last week and I am very grateful!  Each week I will send out a post that discusses some of the learning that has been happening in 4DEL and shares reminders about upcoming events within our class. I will notify you via email that I have updated our class blog. REMINDERS - WEEK 1 Ha
