Week 4 Is Here!

Hello! Welcome to Week 4...we are on the countdown to a very special event this weekend and I am super excited! Just a few reminders for the coming week... Eucharist - Is on this Sunday 8th November at 10am...please make sure that you are there by 9.45am. We ask that you don't arrive any earlier as the parishioners from the previous mass will be leaving and this is part of our social distancing requirements. We are aware that a number of families are impacted by the limit on numbers...we do appreciate that many have family members that have travelled a long way to be a part of this special day and it is hard to have some miss out. It has been a  difficult year in this regard and we are truly sorry. We are having conversation at the moment with Amie Meyer and Fr Francis. to see if we are able to have some people bring an extra guest if others are having smaller parties.  We will get clarification out on this issue as soon as possible! We feel that the ceremony should be completed by

Welcome to Week 3

Good morning parents, Welcome to Week 3 here in 4DEL. I hope that you enjoyed the beautiful weather over the weekend...it was lovely to feel that true warmth in the sun letting us know that Summer is on the way...another reason why Term 4 is my favourite term! I unfortunately spent the majority of the weekend in the company of the fine staff at Busselton Hospital after twinging my back on Wednesday. I am so grateful to live close to a hospital like Busselton, the doctors and nurses there are just amazing and I was blown away by the care and compassion that I received. I still need another day to make sure that I am tickety-boo but I am confident that I will be back on deck tomorrow. I just need to be careful...thank goodness for Pilates and heat packs! I hate missing class as I am a control freak at heart but something that always makes me proud is the feedback that I receive from my relief teachers about how well the students coped, their level of respect and consideration and behavi

Good morning parents, Welcome to a beautiful week...the sun is out and I am feeling a little more motivated to tackle some of those jobs out side! I hosted half a dozen Year 6 boys at our place on Friday night so had a pretty quiet rest of the weekend...phew! This was my Sunday morning, neither of us were overly inclined to move. I think it was because Charlie wasn't loving the new haircut that she had to get on Friday. Now it's a bit warmer those pesky grass seeds cause havoc in her long fur! We had a fantastic trip to SMMC on Friday, I hope that you enjoyed your morning tea...I did! Those sausage rolls were amazeballs! The kids enjoyed getting a taste of high school life and got to try some of the different activities on offer. We first went to Woodwork with Mr Ferguson and the kids had a chance to make their own cool little pencil holder which gave them the opportunity to use a rule, drill press and wood burny thingy! From there we went off to Cooking with Mrs Codalonga, he

Uthando Dolls Roster

Good afternoon everyone, We are on the hunt for helpers to assist with the putting together of our Uthando Dolls. We will need assistance on Thursday afternoons between 1:45 to 2:45pm. All volunteers will need to sign in at the front office, receive a visitors badge and then make their way down to the Year 4 area! We are looking for 4-5 parents each Thursday to come in and help as we will assign the students in a round robin fashion. Each doll will need the following - a  face, hair, underwear, clothing and bag. Check out the link below for guidelines on how to make the dolls. I am so proud of all the kids and how far they have come, they have developed excellent learning habits and are such a beautifully kind and caring bunch...I will enjoy my last days with them but will miss them all very much! REMINDERS - WEEK 1  SMMC Orientation Day - Is on this Friday 16th October, we will be leaving OLC at approximately 10.30 (we will have an early recess) and heading to MacKillop for 11am...the students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities to give them a taste of high school life. They will need to wear their normal sports uniform and bring their lunch...we will be having lunch at SMMC and will then return to school at approximately 1.30/2pm. Please note we will be absent over lunch so no canteen for our guys! Uthando Dolls - These have been d
