Week 5 Update!
Good morning parents,
Welcome to another amazing week here in 4D. I hope that you stayed cool in the heat of Saturday...Binningup Beach was the place to be and thank goodness there was air con in the holiday house! It gave me a good excuse to start my reports rather than get schooled in the finer art of ping pong!
We had a fantastic excursion to Eagle Heritage last Thursday and another huge thank you to Sherylee, Noon, Anita and Prue for coming along to keep us safe and make sure that no birds of prey carried anyone off!
The students will be using this information that they gathered to begin planning for the bird of prey information report that we will be starting next week!
Our day was then finished off superbly with an artist workshop conducted by Alan Meyburgh...after a slight change to plan he came up to school and we had a great time working in the hall on creating a sculpture of a bird using a variety of recycled materials. I was blown away by there amazing creations and the students were super proud of themselves...rightly so I say!
Uthando Doll Thank You Afternoon Tea - We will be having a small afternoon tea on Wednesday afternoon (13th November) to hand over the dolls ready for them to be sent off! All parents that came to help in our weekly sessions are warmly invited to attend.
WWWFW - It is looking to be better weather wise this week! Thank you for your support in sending in waste free lunches and coordinating bike rides and buddies! Our last week...let's go 4D!
3. Spelling - LSCWC & Word Study Activity Sheet. These are to be completed by Friday.
4. Champion Life Challenges - If you can encourage your child to complete at least one video challenge a week. This is a fantastic initiative which whilst increasing levels of physical activity also aims to inspire students through valuable life learning.
Have a great week...mine will be fuelled by coffee!
