Welcome to Week 3

Image
Good afternoon parents! Welcome to another amazing week in 4DEL! I am super excited to be back on deck after a lovely holiday...my cupboards and drawers are clean and organised.  I have bothered the girls at Hot Choc more than enough and 4Lane are threatening to cancel my membership!! I am known by first name by all the Australia Post and Toll drivers and Mark and the bank account are all strongly urging me to go back to work!!  However, it was a thoroughly enjoyable staycation and has done my soul wonders! I kept in touch with Mrs O'Brien and she was so complimentary in talking about the children and I am so proud to hear how hard they worked and how well they looked after her. She is sad to leave them! I would also like to thank those that were able to make it to Confirmation this morning to sing in the choir...this is such a gift to share with the wider school community and I thank them and you for getting them there...especially on such a wild and woolly day!   Good afternoon everyone, Thank you to all those people that have helped out already as well as those who have sent emails through. We are on the hunt for helpers to assist with the putting together of our Uthando Dolls. We will need assistance on Wednesday afternoons between 1:45 to 2:45pm. All volunteers will need to sign in at the front office, receive a visitors badge and then make their way down to the Year 4 area! We are looking for 4-5 parents each Wednesday to come in and help as we will assign the students in a round robin fashion. Each doll will need the following - a face, hair, underwear, clothing and bag.   Check out the link below for guidelines on how to make the dolls. Uthando Dolls - Guidelines to make. Below is a link to an editable Google Doc where you can add in your availability. I will out up a paper copy outside 4DAN if you can not access this document. Alternatively email what dates you are available for and I will put your name on the roster. Uth...

That is Mark contemplating all the chainsawing that he is going to have to do! I hope that you have enjoyed the break whether you have escaped or stayed put! Can we also take a moment to reflect on the amazing experience of the students receiving Eucharist a couple of weeks ago...it was such a beautiful service and I was so proud of the students for the way they participated so joyfully and reverently. They were a real credit to you! What a beautiful image!! I don't want to give anyone the heeby jeebies but there are a couple of back to school things that need to happen ready for Day 1 next week. Firstly, all students are asked to bring in 5 new exercise books ready for Monday - A4 96 pages please.  One each for Reading, Spelling, Writing, Maths & Homework. Our main books are ...
