Can You Believe It's Week 5?!

Image
Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the week...we have hit the ground running this week and we have enjoyed a lovely settled start which is great! REMINDERS -WEEK 5 Gathering Time - A reminder that this is an important time of the day to get set up. I use the Interactive Whiteboard at the front of the room to give clear and specific instructions around what is required...this is your child's first port of call. At times your child may have work to catch up from the previous day and this is bonus time for those activities. It can also be a time for your child to catch up on any incomplete homework from the previous night. If your child is up to date with all required tasks they are welcome to sit and read or draw quietly, they can also organise and tidy their drawers...another important task! Reading Books - These will be changed on Mondays, if you can please support your child to bring these back so that they can be changed. Book Donations  - Our 3D bookshelf is looki...

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to Week 4...I spent the weekend up in the big smoke watching my daughter play in the Country Week Championships for Basketball...it was great to see so many participants out there doing what they love...the Busselton girls were also lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to meet JP Tokoto from the Perth Wildcats...lucky! REMINDERS - WEEK 4 Opening Mass - We will come together as a whole school to celebrate Mass on Friday 23rd February at 9.30am down at Our Lady of the Southern Cross. It would be wonderful to see as many parents there as possible. Morning Routine - Now that swimming lessons are out of the way we are in full swing with our teaching and learning programs. This has meant that this week we began our spelling rotations between the Year 1-3 students.  It is really important that your child arrives at school as close to 8.30 as possible so they can get themselves set up and ready for the day. Good afternoon parents, Welcome to Week 3...it seemed as if the weekend flew by! REMINDERS - WEEK 3 Swimming Lessons - we are nearly done with these and a very big thank you for helping them to be organised for each day...I am sure they are sleeping well! Just a reminder that all students are to wear a rashie for the duration of the lessons. There are two main groups that are in the outside pool for the 90 minutes but today other groups did come outside...as you can appreciate the sun is very warm and the children are quick to burn. Parent Information Evening - this is on tomorrow night beginning at 6pm. Both sessions will begin with an introduction in the hall, during which you will hear from Fr Ian, Mr Wilkie, the P&F and the Board representatives. If I can ask that you make your way to 3D at the conclusion of this presentation as quickly as possible.  If you are unable to attend, we will send home a copy of the notes with your child on Wednesday. 3D Class Expectations

Dear Parents, Here are the class expectations that we have put together for our class this year. We had a fantastic conversation in which the students identified key areas to be mindful of and it was great to see that they aligned with our school values. I would appreciate it if you could take some time to discuss these with your child. Any behavioural issues will be brought back to these class expectations in our discussions. Class Expectations In 3D we agree that it is important to: ·        Be compassionate towards others and share what we have. ·        Show appreciation for ourselves and others by moving safely  around the classroom and being careful with our furniture. ·        Respect others by raising our hand and waiting our turn to speak. ·        Be respectful to others by using our manners at all times. ·     ...
