It's the end of Term 3!

Good afternoon parents,

 Welcome to the last week of the term...it sure has been a busy one!

 A huge thank you all the parents that were able to come in for our learning journeys yesterday. I was devastated that I couldn't be here! I hope that you enjoyed looking around at the excellent work that your beautiful children have produced and that they were able to share their learning with you!
REMINDERS - WEEK 10

Shoe Box Donations - We are still waiting on the last couple of donations. These shoe boxes will be put together on Thursday morning ready to be sent on Friday. Thank you for your generosity...I know this time of year can be expensive with tea towels, calendars and fete items but please know this contribution is greatly appreciated!

 If you are able help we will be putting these together from 12-12.45pm on Thursday. Please let me know if you are available?

 Absentee Follow Up Notes - I have sent these home with your child today. If you can please make sure that you have filled in a reason for the absence and signed the form that would be great. Please give them to your child to return to me as soon as possible.

 HOMEWORK - WEEK 10

Reading -Please make sure that your child is reading out loud to you each night. This is an important skill in helping them to decode unfamiliar words and to attend to meaning - this means that they realise that what they are reading may not make sense if they have changed/missed/substituted a word. 

 It is great if your child loves to read whilst they are getting ready for bed and I strongly encourage this reading for pleasure...please make sure that both are happening.
Spelling - Students are to complete a LCWC of their list words for the week. These are review words for this week as they will be tested on the words covered over the past months - a quick run through for your child would be great for their confidence!
Sight Words - If you can please work with your child to complete these every night.
Mental Maths - Students are to complete Days 1-4 of Unit 29 including the Think Box activity. This is marked daily in class each morning. It is fine if students work ahead on this.
Times Tables - Activity Sheet - 5 Times Tables. Students are asked to write out their tables in order on Monday and Tuesday nights and then complete them out of order on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Good afternoon! The last week has arrived...I can't believe it either! Term 2 has been such a busy and productive time, the students have worked like troopers producing some amazing pieces of work! We are very proud of the learning habits they have developed and the maturity they are showing as we grow closer to Year 5. In saying this, it is time for a well-deserved break! REMINDERS - WEEK 10 Father Ian and Mr Wilkie Farewell Mass   - Tomorrow Father Tony Chiera will be celebrating Mass with us in the hall to wish Mr Wilkie and Fr Ian a happy farewell and retirement. The mass will begin at 1.30 pm and afterwards there will be an afternoon tea for the parents and parishioners to share together. Week 9...The Last One!

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the final week, if you are like me, I can remember October and then suddenly the term is at its end!  It has been a busy one here, I was lucky enough to head to the Player's night on Thursday down at Shark Park and then was also able to head to the Volunteers Breakfast on Sunday...had the best chat with Bob Murphy, he is one funny cat!  What a great opportunity for our town to have the players in, they were so appreciative of the opportunity to come and connect with their fans and were a pleasure to be around! I would like to say the biggest and most sincere thank you to you as a parent group, you have been so supportive of myself and your children and we have had a thoroughly brilliant year as a group!  To see how much the children have grown and changed is such a privilege and I am going to miss them all very very much. Week 8 Update

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the end of Week 7, it was a busy one for us in 4DEL as we finalised some assessments and enjoyed a smooth week of learning. I unfortunately ended up leaving early yesterday as I seem to have picked up this virus going around...thankfully it isn't Covid and I am hoping a day on the couch today will help send it packing! My daughter Ella, is competing in the State Championships in Basketball up in Perth and I'm a bit devo I can't be there...something I am working hard on is accepting the things that I cannot change, this appears to be one of them. I hope you are all well, I have had a few students share with me some things going on with sickness and things just being a bit tough...if there is any way that I can help, please do let me know! We have a pastoral care freezer for just these things! Congratulations to Emme on receiving our Merit Award last week, an absolute legend who just keeps on keeping on!
