Welcome to Week 4!
Good afternoon parents,
I hope that you enjoyed the extra long weekend! I have spent it seeing lots of mates down from Perth and drinking lots of coffee, taking big walks and fully adulting!
Even though the circumstances were difficult, it was so nice to see so many of your faces last week during the pick up for our Bushfire Drill. I would like to thank you all for supporting this very worthy initiative...it was great to see you and I hope that I can meet more of you in the coming weeks!
A few reminders for the coming week...even though it's a short one!
REMINDERS - WEEK 4
Swimming Carnival - Is on this Thursday 4th March (weather dependent of course). Please make sure that your child comes to school wearing their faction t-shirt, bathers underneath or easily accessible, they bring a towel, goggles, rashie, thongs for to and from the pool and plenty of food!
Project Compassion - If I can ask you to have a chat with your child to see if they might have any spare change to donate to the Project Compassion box this week I would be most grateful!
PAT Assessments - We will continue working on these on Wednesday and Friday. We would appreciate your support in making sure that you child brings their laptop to school on these days.
Swimming Lessons - These begin next Monday 8th March. We will be hopping on the bus at 11.40am to get to the beach ready for our lesson to begin at 11.55am. The swimming lessons will go for 40 minutes. We will then grab towels and thongs and head back to school to get changed. We will be back at school by 12.50 in time to get changed and have lunch...canteen can run as normal for your family!
Again, please make sure that your child is bringing a sturdy bag (not a plastic one...these tend to break once over filled and swung around trying to hit your mate several times!), towel, goggles, thongs and their school hat.
Students are to wear their sports uniform for the two weeks of swimming lessons! Either the teal or polo shirt is fine.
We will be running an adjusted timetable over those weeks...please be reassured that we will be working as hard as ever bearing in mind that as the week goes on, tiredness increases!
Please note these times if you are needing to make any appointments or for early pick ups.
No Homework - Due to the short week this week, we have not assigned any formal homework.
We would love to see your child still doing all of those other good things to help out around the house as much as possible.
Have a great week and enjoy it's shortness!
Kind regards,
Mrs Delane
