 Term 3 Week 1

Welcome back to Term 3!

We hope you have had a nice holiday. I spent a week up north in Gnaraloo enjoying  lots of sunny beach days and Claire has been busy settling into her new house!

Claire and I are looking forward to teaching your child this term. We have had a thorough handover from Caitlin who will be on a well-deserved long service leave break. Caitlin and Ben have established a fantastic collaborative teaching and learning environment and this will continue during term 3.

Caitlin has gone through each child’s needs individually with us however please get in touch if you have any queries or concerns. Communication is critical and if there is anything happening with your child that will be beneficial for us please let us know as soon as possible. Your child’s needs will always be kept confidential.

Housekeeping
·      Formal winter uniform on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Sports uniform on Thursday and Friday faction.
·      If you can please get your child to clean out their pencil case and restock if needed.
·      Please ask your child to ensure their Laptop is charged.
·      Last term Caitlin asked for 5 additional exercise books to be sent in. Can you please ensure these are in for day one so students can replace their Maths, Writing, Spelling, Reading and Homework books.
·      Homework will continue the same as last term with reading and tables. Please mark their tables and particularly the first night so they don’t repeat any errors.
·      The students can start using a blue pen for writing this term.

Week 10 - The Home Stretch!

Good afternoon! The last week has arrived...I can't believe it either! Term 2 has been such a busy and productive time, the students have worked like troopers producing some amazing pieces of work! We are very proud of the learning habits they have developed and the maturity they are showing as we grow closer to Year 5. In saying this, it is time for a well-deserved break! REMINDERS - WEEK 10 Father Ian and Mr Wilkie Farewell Mass   - Tomorrow Father Tony Chiera will be celebrating Mass with us in the hall to wish Mr Wilkie and Fr Ian a happy farewell and retirement. The mass will begin at 1.30 pm and afterwards there will be an afternoon tea for the parents and parishioners to share together. Week 9...The Last One!

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the final week, if you are like me, I can remember October and then suddenly the term is at its end!  It has been a busy one here, I was lucky enough to head to the Player's night on Thursday down at Shark Park and then was also able to head to the Volunteers Breakfast on Sunday...had the best chat with Bob Murphy, he is one funny cat!  What a great opportunity for our town to have the players in, they were so appreciative of the opportunity to come and connect with their fans and were a pleasure to be around! I would like to say the biggest and most sincere thank you to you as a parent group, you have been so supportive of myself and your children and we have had a thoroughly brilliant year as a group!  To see how much the children have grown and changed is such a privilege and I am going to miss them all very very much. Week 3 Update

Good afternoon parents, I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend celebrating all things Mum related. We hope that you loved reading their little messages which hopefully showed you just how much you are truly loved by them.💕 REMINDERS - WEEK 3 Walk to School Day - this is being held this Friday 17th May and all families are encouraged to attend if possible. Please see the newsletter this week for the pick up points and times. Commitment and Year 4 Family Mass - this Saturday night 18th May at 6pm the Year 4 families are invited to come together to celebrate mass together. During this mass we will acknowledge the commitment made by you to support your child in their preparation to receive the Sacrament of First Eucharist. All students are expected to attend, there will be pizza afterwards! Book Fair -  On Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd of May, there is a book fair in the library. The library will be selling books from 8-9am and 3.30-4.30pm on these days. W
