Week 7 Update

Good morning!

 Welcome to another week of beautiful weather in this gorgeous spot we live in. I hope that you managed to get out and about and enjoy some of it?!
Well done to Georgie, Max, Joe, Laura, Nina, Vinny, Cooper and Flynn on being brave enough to step in to the arena today and wow us with their skills...we have such amazingly talented kids and I am beyond proud of them.

REMINDERS - WEEK 7 

As the term is winding down to  a close there is not a lot for your radars this week which is nice...give us all a breather!

Vinnies Appeal - If you can discuss with your child a donation (toiletries - wrapped soap, hair elastics, combs, shampoo/conditioner etc.) for our Vinnies Appeal we would be very grateful. If they can please bring these in by Friday next week. These donations can then be boxed up and delivered to local families in need.

 Evacuation Fire Drill - Please see communication that has been sent from Admin on this. You will need to come to the classroom to collect your child. If you are unable to do so, you will need to contact the office and advise them as to who will be picking up your child.

 Wheelie, Walkie, Waste Free Wednesday - These will continue for the remainder of the term. Please support this IF you can.

 End of Year Awards Night - This will be held on Tuesday 10th December. Brush off those Christmas themed t-shirts and let the grandies know!

HOMEWORK - WEEK 7

As my end of year gift to you, this week will be the last for any assigned homework! I can see you all doing your happy dance for sure!!!!

After this week, I will ask that your child reads with you each night...if you can please keep this up over the holidays too, it will do wonders for their confidence beginning Year 5.

1. Reading - Students are to read for 15 minutes each night. Please encourage them to read out loud to you at least twice a week.
2. Mental Maths- Complete Unit 35. All sections are to be completed by Friday. This is our last unit!!!!!!!!!!



3. Spelling - LSCWC Sheet. These are to be completed by Friday.

Week 9...The Last One!

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the final week, if you are like me, I can remember October and then suddenly the term is at its end!  It has been a busy one here, I was lucky enough to head to the Player's night on Thursday down at Shark Park and then was also able to head to the Volunteers Breakfast on Sunday...had the best chat with Bob Murphy, he is one funny cat!  What a great opportunity for our town to have the players in, they were so appreciative of the opportunity to come and connect with their fans and were a pleasure to be around! I would like to say the biggest and most sincere thank you to you as a parent group, you have been so supportive of myself and your children and we have had a thoroughly brilliant year as a group!  To see how much the children have grown and changed is such a privilege and I am going to miss them all very very much. Week 8 Update

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the end of Week 7, it was a busy one for us in 4DEL as we finalised some assessments and enjoyed a smooth week of learning. I unfortunately ended up leaving early yesterday as I seem to have picked up this virus going around...thankfully it isn't Covid and I am hoping a day on the couch today will help send it packing! My daughter Ella, is competing in the State Championships in Basketball up in Perth and I'm a bit devo I can't be there...something I am working hard on is accepting the things that I cannot change, this appears to be one of them. I hope you are all well, I have had a few students share with me some things going on with sickness and things just being a bit tough...if there is any way that I can help, please do let me know! We have a pastoral care freezer for just these things! Congratulations to Emme on receiving our Merit Award last week, an absolute legend who just keeps on keeping on! Week 6 Has Arrived!

Good morning parents! I hope you are all staying nice and warm in this very strange weather...I have no idea what is going on with it! One minute it's warm and sunny and the next I'm reaching for the trackies and ugg boots!  I hope you all enjoyed the day off yesterday?! We had a great PL day yesterday looking in more detail at the Judging Standards created by the School Curriculum Authority. These are the documents that we use in conjunction with our professional judgement, your child's See Saw journal and work completed in class to determine grading for our reports.  We then finished the day throwing some rocks at the Dunsborough Country Club...under Neil's watchful gaze, I proved to be not a very good lawn bowler and a person who has no concept of medium pace...who knew??  We also farewelled Miss Cain on Thursday, the students were very sad to see her go and she was so sad to leave them...she had a warm and positive impact on the students in her time in 4DEL and we w
