Week 4 is Here!
Good evening parents,
I hope that you have enjoyed the gorgeous weather put on this weekend and were able to spend a small moment in time resting and refilling your parent cup!
So far this term has had me feeling a little like this...as you may be aware...I was away last week with some nasty pain and general feelings of not goodness. These unfortunately carried over into the weekend and I spent the weekend in the very fine hands of the staff at Busselton Hospital.
I am home now with strict instructions to take it easy and a follow up with a specialist planned for this week. I am okay in terms of there being nothing major going on and lots of the scary things ruled out but I just need to get another couple of checks to be sure before I can get back on deck with my little homies.
I am so sorry to be away, it actually causes me great anxiety not being in class with you all, especially as we had just got the band back together! I am also aware that some of the students will be a little unsettled as our usuals are not happening. Ali Martin, Trish Dorrington and Kathy Holt delivered my planned teaching and learning to a tee and were very well supported by the ever fabulous Mr Ben Danaher...I think I owe him a coffee or six!
I am hoping to be back this week but it will all depend on how soon I can get checked out. Mr Torrese and Mr Lee have been keeping an eye on the kids and reporting back and as usual I have been super proud to hear how focused, loving and resilient they have been!
The kids have been working really hard and having a ball...they put together some fantastic zip lines, are learning all about the parts of the bee, wrote their reports about their favourite animals which I am looking forward to reading and worked hard to get through their revision for their maths tests last weeks...go 4DEL!
Homework will continue as normal this week, if this is causing too much stress or you just need a break from it. Please feel free to have your child write me a note...we all need a leave pass every now and again!
Have a great week and take care of yourselves. I am on email if you have any questions on anything for the week!
Kind regards,
Caitlin
