Week 6 Update

Good afternoon parents,

What a beautiful weekend...I spent it in Bubury with my oldest friend from primary school getting our shopping and pamper on! It was delightuful and was a wonderful way to refill my cup!

A short post for this week, however, I am looking forward to a full week getting our learning on...besides swimming we have a straight shot which will be awesome! Please note that there is no library book exchange or assembly.

A small note in regards to library, we have made a change and as of next week we will be having our library book exchange sessions on a Wednesday if you can please support your child to remember to bring their library bag.

REMINDERS - WEEK 6

Swimming Lessons - The students are doing a wonderful job with this...I am hoping that all swimming bits and pieces made it home for a wash on Friday afternoon.

Wheels After Meals - Are back for students in years 1-6 this Tuesday, they need a helmet and can leave all their gear outside Mr. Lee's office.

Parent Meetings - We will be having an opportunity to get together in Week 8 which will be wonderful! We are currently ironing out some tech issues and I will be sending a link to an online booking form that you will be able to use to make a time for us to discuss your child's progress for the first few weeks of the year.

I will be in touch as soon as this is sorted.

Homework - Last week on the homework front was a little rough, there was lots of incomplete homework brought in on Friday. I had multiple students that didn't have their homework at all or had some parts incomplete or not done at all. We had a big chat about this as a class and behaviour slips were issued as a consequence.

Whilst homework is your child's responsibilty to complete, I would appreciate it if you could check in with your child over the week to make sure they are getting things done.

Week 9...The Last One!

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the final week, if you are like me, I can remember October and then suddenly the term is at its end!  It has been a busy one here, I was lucky enough to head to the Player's night on Thursday down at Shark Park and then was also able to head to the Volunteers Breakfast on Sunday...had the best chat with Bob Murphy, he is one funny cat!  What a great opportunity for our town to have the players in, they were so appreciative of the opportunity to come and connect with their fans and were a pleasure to be around! I would like to say the biggest and most sincere thank you to you as a parent group, you have been so supportive of myself and your children and we have had a thoroughly brilliant year as a group!  To see how much the children have grown and changed is such a privilege and I am going to miss them all very very much. Week 6 Has Arrived!

Good morning parents! I hope you are all staying nice and warm in this very strange weather...I have no idea what is going on with it! One minute it's warm and sunny and the next I'm reaching for the trackies and ugg boots!  I hope you all enjoyed the day off yesterday?! We had a great PL day yesterday looking in more detail at the Judging Standards created by the School Curriculum Authority. These are the documents that we use in conjunction with our professional judgement, your child's See Saw journal and work completed in class to determine grading for our reports.  We then finished the day throwing some rocks at the Dunsborough Country Club...under Neil's watchful gaze, I proved to be not a very good lawn bowler and a person who has no concept of medium pace...who knew??  We also farewelled Miss Cain on Thursday, the students were very sad to see her go and she was so sad to leave them...she had a warm and positive impact on the students in her time in 4DEL and we w

Week 8 Update

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the end of Week 7, it was a busy one for us in 4DEL as we finalised some assessments and enjoyed a smooth week of learning. I unfortunately ended up leaving early yesterday as I seem to have picked up this virus going around...thankfully it isn't Covid and I am hoping a day on the couch today will help send it packing! My daughter Ella, is competing in the State Championships in Basketball up in Perth and I'm a bit devo I can't be there...something I am working hard on is accepting the things that I cannot change, this appears to be one of them. I hope you are all well, I have had a few students share with me some things going on with sickness and things just being a bit tough...if there is any way that I can help, please do let me know! We have a pastoral care freezer for just these things! Congratulations to Emme on receiving our Merit Award last week, an absolute legend who just keeps on keeping on!
