A Quick Week 8!

Good afternoon parents,

A short one for this week with a couple of reminders!

Sacrament Paperwork - If you have not returned this with your child, please do so as soon as possible.

Commitment & Year 4 Family Mass - A reminder that this Saturday night, we will be coming together to celebrate our Family mass and our commitment and support for the Year 4 Eucharist candidates...all families are welcome to attend!

Please let me know via email if your child is unable to attend.

Tuart Ludlow Forest Tree Planting - We are off on Monday 14th June, a note was sent home last week outlining our day. Please make sure your child comes with a set of gloves, long pants to wear and a long sleeved shirt and enclose shirt.

We are still looking for a couple of helpers if you are free to join us, please flick me an email to let me know!

Please note there is no homework for this week!

Go od afternoon parents, Mrs Horrocks has asked for me to post some information about the upcoming Musical 'Go Fish' on Friday 8th June (Week 6) this term.  If you have any questions about the performance, including costumes or the logistics of the musical then Mrs Horrocks is the person to ask! We will be having a short meeting on Monday 7th May at 3.15pm. It would be great if you could make it!  If you are unable to make the meeting, but are keen to help...please let me know.  More importantly she is looking for volunteers who can donate some of their time to assist with costumes, the set and other roles.  If this is something you can assist with, then please contact or see Mrs Horrocks on that Monday. Week 5 Update - Hump Week!

Good afternoon parents, For those looking for an embarrassing or dramatic story this week, I am sorry to disappoint!  This weekend has been all about a bit of family time and for me, catching up on a the last two Matthew Reilly novels...knocked those out yesterday so hit me up if you have any recommendations!  I also finished the Will Smith autobiography this week if anyone is looking for a really great read! It has been an interesting week trying to process what is happening here in WA as well as what is happening overseas...I can't even imagine what it must be like for families just like us to be gripped by war.  Like many parents, I am struggling  to explain it to my own children who have some grasp of what is happening but also a child like fear as well...I just don't know what to say? With this in mind, you may have seen on Facebook that as a school community, we are offering families the opportunity to attend a prayer vigil on Wednesday afternoon...

A Couple of Reminders!

Good morning, I have a couple of late additions to our blog for this week, please see the below.  Crazy Sock Fundraiser - Please remember that OLC will be participating in a Crazy Sock Day fundraiser for Catholic Mission Australia.  We would love to see your child's crazy socks and a gold coin donation. Walkie & Wheelie - A reminder for your child to drive the foot falcon to school today and tomorrow if they can! Saint Vincent De Paul Collection -  Each year at OLC we take time to be thankful for our blessings and to assist those local people in need by contributing to Christmas Hampers distributed by the St Vincent De Paul Society to families within our community. Families in Years 4-6 are being asked to contribute items in the Christmas Goodies range!  These might include - treat items, boxes of c hocolates, tinned fruit, non-perishable fruit juices, nuts, small gifts, pampering items, vouchers (Kmart, coffee, family activities etc.) or anything else tha...
