Welcome Back! Week 1 Update

Good afternoon parents,

Welcome back for Term 2...as I am writing this post to welcome you back I have the footy on in the background listening to the last post...always love this game!

I hope that you enjoyed the holidays and stayed well, the weather was amazing and it was nice to spend the time resting and recharging ready for another great term!

I will keep this post short this week with just a few reminders to ease us all back in!

Laptops - a reminder to ask your child to pop theirs on charge ready for tomorrow!

COVID/Isolation - If your family is affected by COVID please do let me know.

The large majority of our work is placed in the various folders on One Note for your child to access depending on how well they are feeling or how much support you are able to offer if you yourself are unwell.

If there is anything that I or the school can do to help, please do let me know!

Masks - If I can ask you to please check in with your child to make sure they have a mask ready to go for each day and to talk with them about wearing them properly I would be super grateful!

Winter Uniform - we are making the move into our winter uniform as of tomorrow so hopefully everything still fits! Please note that most days we will still need to have the door open to keep our classroom healthy and fresh so it may be worth your child having their jumper in their bag as it can get cold!

Character Strengths - as part of our health unit this term we are looking more in depth at our own personal character strengths. In our health lessons this week the students will be completing the VIA Character Strengths Survey. The students will need to create their own account so their results can be saved individually, they will use their school email to do so.

If you have any concerns about child creating this account, can I ask that you please let me know...alternatively, if you would like to help your child create their account on their laptop with your details that would also be brilliant!

Please do not have your child complete the survey just yet - this is to be done in class.

Wheels After Meals - This will kick off on Tuesday of Week 2.

Please make sure that your child brings their wheels and appropriate safety gear if they wish to participate!

  • 26th April - Term 2 Begins
