What A Great Day!

Good evening parents,
I am hoping that this post finds you at home on the couch with your precious Year 4 bundle tucked up in bed...!

 I am beyond proud of all of our guys today...this is always a day that some love and others not so much, but the effort and perseverance that was shown in pushing through to achieve some personal goals was truly inspirational!

 Thank you to everyone that was able to make it to watch today, these events are always a lot more fun when there are lots of voices making noise! 

 Mr Torrese was the lucky duck who got to present our last Star Citizen for this term. This was given out to the student who shows the core value of Appreciation on a consistent basis. I could have given this award to every one of my 4DEL legends because they are an appreciative and thoughtful bunch who are always quick to help out and show an attitude of gratitude.

 Our recipient this week was Jacob Heitman, a very deserving winner and an outstanding young man! Well done Jacob! To see Jacob receive his award, click on the link below.


Thank you again for an excellent term, I hope that you enjoy some family time over the break and rest and recharge those batteries.

Week 9...The Last One!

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the final week, if you are like me, I can remember October and then suddenly the term is at its end!  It has been a busy one here, I was lucky enough to head to the Player's night on Thursday down at Shark Park and then was also able to head to the Volunteers Breakfast on Sunday...had the best chat with Bob Murphy, he is one funny cat!  What a great opportunity for our town to have the players in, they were so appreciative of the opportunity to come and connect with their fans and were a pleasure to be around! I would like to say the biggest and most sincere thank you to you as a parent group, you have been so supportive of myself and your children and we have had a thoroughly brilliant year as a group!  To see how much the children have grown and changed is such a privilege and I am going to miss them all very very much. Week 6 Has Arrived!

Good morning parents! I hope you are all staying nice and warm in this very strange weather...I have no idea what is going on with it! One minute it's warm and sunny and the next I'm reaching for the trackies and ugg boots!  I hope you all enjoyed the day off yesterday?! We had a great PL day yesterday looking in more detail at the Judging Standards created by the School Curriculum Authority. These are the documents that we use in conjunction with our professional judgement, your child's See Saw journal and work completed in class to determine grading for our reports.  We then finished the day throwing some rocks at the Dunsborough Country Club...under Neil's watchful gaze, I proved to be not a very good lawn bowler and a person who has no concept of medium pace...who knew??  We also farewelled Miss Cain on Thursday, the students were very sad to see her go and she was so sad to leave them...she had a warm and positive impact on the students in her time in 4DEL and we w

Week 8 Update

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the end of Week 7, it was a busy one for us in 4DEL as we finalised some assessments and enjoyed a smooth week of learning. I unfortunately ended up leaving early yesterday as I seem to have picked up this virus going around...thankfully it isn't Covid and I am hoping a day on the couch today will help send it packing! My daughter Ella, is competing in the State Championships in Basketball up in Perth and I'm a bit devo I can't be there...something I am working hard on is accepting the things that I cannot change, this appears to be one of them. I hope you are all well, I have had a few students share with me some things going on with sickness and things just being a bit tough...if there is any way that I can help, please do let me know! We have a pastoral care freezer for just these things! Congratulations to Emme on receiving our Merit Award last week, an absolute legend who just keeps on keeping on!
